Brandi Batman Grant (basketball) graduated from Trinity High School in 1998. Brandi received a full scholarship from Murray State University’s basketball program after her senior year. She played at Murray from ’98 -’99, and after a knee injury, she moved on to finish her degree and become a physical therapist assistant.
Some of Brandi’s accomplishments while at Trinity include being named MVP in ’96,’97,’98; being a member of the All “A” Classic All-Tournament Team in ’96; being named to the 11th District All-Tournament Team in ’96, ’97, ’98; being a member of the first Lady Raiders team to win the District Championship in ’97; being a member of the 3rd Region All-Tournament Team in ’96,’97,’98; being a member of the Lady Raiders Regional All “A” Classic Champion Team in ‘97; being named to the Courier Journal All-State Basketball Squad, 3rd team, in ’97,’98; and being voted one of the Top 10 Seniors in 1997.
Sarah McDaniel Morris (softball) is a 2004 graduate of Trinity High School. After graduating from Trinity, Sarah received a full scholarship to play basketball at Brescia University where she played for four years. Sarah works for Owensboro Health as a registered nurse.
Sarah was the eighth leading scorer in the state of Kentucky during her junior year, averaging 20.2 points per game. She reached 1,000 points at THS her junior year. She made the 3rd Region All-Tournament Team in 2003 and 2004, and was named as a Kentucky All-State Team, Honorable Mention, in 2003 and 2004. She was also a member of the 11th District and Class “A” All-Tournament Teams in ’02, ’03, and ‘04. One of her fondest memories of her time at Trinity is of the Lady Raiders winning the Class “A” Regional Championship during all four years of her high school career.
Adam Huff (volleyball) served as a volleyball coach for Trinity High School from 1999 through 2018. Adam also worked for Mizkan as a logistics area coordinator for more than 20 years. Adam started as an assistant coach, and he became the head coach one year later. At the time of his induction, the volleyball team had nine district championships (up to 6 in a row, at one point).
During Adam’s tenure, the volleyball team garnered 4 District Runners-Up teams, 4 All “A” Classic Regional Championships, including an All “A” State Final Four appearance in 2013. At the time of induction, the program had 319 wins, 296 of those were coached by Coach Huff. The volleyball team holds a school record for most wins by a team in a single season, 28 in 2013, and in number of district championships. In 2011, Coach Huff was honored as the Third Region Coach of the Year.
Kevin Morris (basketball player / basketball and softball coach / Friend of the Program) is a 1997 graduate of Trinity High School. While at Trinity High School, Kevin broke the 3-point record, on his senior night, in February of 1997 with nine 3-pointers. He held this record for 18 years until his son Daniel broke it on January 30th 2015 with ten 3-pointers.
Kevin coached middle school basketball at St. Mary’s for six years, from the 2009-2010 season through the 2014-2015 season. He sat out for only one year and went back to coaching again. Kevin coached Trinity High School boys’ basketball as an assistant coach in ’05, ’06, ’07.
Kevin was the Booster Club President for six years from August 2001-2007. He worked on many projects for the Booster Club, including the purchase of buses, the repaving of the parking lot (desperately needed), hosting dances as fundraisers, and driving the bus to events and games for many years. He also helps maintain the ball fields and has served as an assistant softball coach for Trinity. With the help of many, many people, Kevin has done much for Trinity Athletics, and he continues to help in any way he can.
